When creating an installation package from the cloud console to deploy to multiple machines, is that package stripped of duplicate identifiers, allowing the newly installed endpoint to communicate with the Cloud console? The current problem we are having during testing, is that when we deploy the package provided by the cloud console, the install works as planned (using the exe provided) and the endpoint functions as it should, however when looking up those devices in the cloud console, it states a message saying “Undefined Device details” and it provides no data stream from the device. Also it does not appear that the endpoint installed is adhering to the policies.
I have included a link (https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.HOWTO54706.html) I found online which references a clean-up tool for the image, but I am not sure if this applies to Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud. Also if this does apply, does this cleanup tool need to ran on every machine we deploy to?
