I need a solution

Hello,

I am having an issue with WDE. I had a laptop with two drives and the OS drive would not boot so I decrypted it using the recovery CD. After I was able to repair the OS and boot to Windows. The second drive asked me for the password to unlock and I was able to enter the same password I use to login to the domain and access the drive. I then decided to encrypt the OS drive again using the SSO same password. I did not decrypt the second drive. When I encrypted it, it asked me to create a new passphrase user to encrypt it. I did that using my active directory account. After it finished I rebooted and successfully started the computer with the domain password. The second drive asks me for the password still but it now will not work using the same password.

I have tried to remove the OS drive and use the recovery CD to decrypt the drive but the password still does not work. I decrypted the OS drive again but the PW still does not work for the secondary. Is the data on the secondary drive lost? This is a stand alone version of PGP WDE and no recovery questions were set. It is version 10.0.2.

Thanks.
